RunGovr ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Sean McDermott. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the RunGovr mobile application.

By using RunGovr, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

We collect the following types of information when you use RunGovr:

• OAuth identity — your name and email address provided by Google or Apple when you sign in.
• Game progress and state — your save data, deck composition, achievements, and run history.
• Device information — operating system version, device model, and app version.
• Location (approximate) — general region used to personalize civic data presented in-game. Precise location is not collected.
• Analytics — aggregated, anonymized usage data such as feature interactions and session duration.
• Crash reports — stack traces and diagnostic information when the app encounters an error.

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your identity and maintain your account session.
• Save and restore your game state across devices.
• Improve the app by understanding how players interact with game features.
• Diagnose crashes and technical issues to maintain app stability.
• Personalize civic content based on your approximate region.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build behavioral profiles for sale or transfer to third parties.

Storage & Security

Data Storage

Your game data and account information are stored on Cloudflare servers using Cloudflare D1 (SQLite). Data is stored in the United States.

Sensitive information on your device — such as authentication tokens — is stored using your device's secure storage (SecureStore on iOS and Android), not in plain app storage.

External Services

Third-Party Services

RunGovr uses Google and Apple solely for authentication (Sign in with Google / Sign in with Apple). When you sign in, these services provide us with your name and email address. Their handling of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies.

We do not use any other third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Age Restrictions

Children's Privacy

RunGovr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your RunGovr account and all associated data at any time by visiting:

After submitting a deletion request, your account enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion. During this period your data is not used or accessible. You may cancel the deletion at any time by simply signing back in to the app — your account and game progress will be fully restored.

After the 30-day period expires, your account and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice within the app or by email.

Your continued use of RunGovr after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
